’With Clear Group’s support, we are well positioned to grow even faster,’ says managing director
Clear Group has acquired CoverMarque as it looks to grow its specialist schemes book.
CoverMarque is a niche schemes broker that mainly specialises in insurance for temporary marquee structures.
The firm, which was established in 2003, has grown by over 120% during the last four years.
It is the third firm Clear Group has acquired in the space of two weeks, with it having snapped up Lilley Plummer Risks and A-One Insurance Group at the end of October 2024.
Clear Group said that its latest purchase formed part of its long-term growth strategy.
Mike Edgeley, chief executive at Clear Group, said: “CoverMarque ticks all the boxes in what we look for in a business that can support our growth ambitions.
“It’s a fast growing, entrepreneurial led firm, which has carved out a distinctive position in the market for being a real specialist in its field.”
’Significant opportunity’
CoverMarque managing director and founder Nick Drew, as well as his team, will join Clear Group’s retail business as part of the deal.

Drew added: “Clear Group has an outstanding reputation for backing specialist businesses, so we are delighted that we have found the ideal partner for CoverMarque.
“It’s particularly important that we continue to offer our clients the exceptional service and innovative solutions that have been the foundations of our success to date.
“With Clear Group’s support, we are well positioned to grow even faster, particularly as we look to expand into new markets.”
