The SIB’s latest board member wants to raise the profile of personal lines among brokers
The Society of Insurance Broking (SIB), part of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), has announced that Suzi Rackley, client director at Aston Lark, has joined its advisory board.
The SIB is a community for insurance brokers that aims to improve professional knowledge and technical competence, as well as assist members in their career development.
Rackley began her insurance career as a relationship manager in 1991. She initially worked for a small high street broker before joining Bowring Marsh McLennan and later Chubb Insurance.
She also worked for Aon Private Clients prior to joining Aston Lark in 2008, where she set up a new division for private clients, based in Hampshire.
Raising profiles
Commenting on the new addition to the board, Kevin Hancock, chair of SIB, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Suzi onto the advisory board of the Society of Insurance Broking.
“She brings a wealth of broking experience and significant insights on achieving the best outcomes for clients with demanding and complex needs, particularly in the consumer space.
“Her knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to raise the levels of professional knowledge and technical competence amongst our members.”
Rackley added: “I am delighted to be joining the CII’s Society of Insurance Brokers. It’s a great platform for brokers and offers fantastic opportunities to network, improve knowledge and share experiences.
“I am particularly looking forward to raising the profile of personal lines; we don’t have a big enough voice in the insurance market as a whole, yet we are in control of protecting our clients’ most important and valuable assets.
“What I can offer is an experienced view on how we are perceived and ways we can improve our communication to build better relationships and ensure our clients see us as trusted partners.”
