’This collaboration will help us develop new products and expand the business,’ says managing director

Chester-based broker Grosvenor Insurance has teamed up with JMG Group to expand its product offering.

Founded in 2013 by managing director Andy Piggott and director Phil Beesley, Grosvenor serves both commercial and private clients.

As part of the deal, Piggott will continue to oversee his team of 15 staff from the Chester office.

He said that his firm had partnered with JMG as ”we’ve grown as much as we could independently”.

Piggott added: ”Partnering with JMG Group felt like the natural next step, as they share our client-focused service style.

”This collaboration will help us develop new products and expand the business, while continuing to focus on delivering the same high standards our clients expect.

“This decision provides a secure future for our staff, giving them access to new markets and the support of additional experienced colleagues, which will help them further develop their careers.”

Nick Houghton, chief executive at JMG Group, added: “With access to our growing network of businesses and extensive resources, Grosvenor is well-positioned to develop its market standing, drive innovation and deliver even greater value to clients and colleagues.”

Other deals

The deal is JMG’s third in two weeks and comes after the firm marked 40 acquisitions with the purchase of Confidential Solutions Group (CSG).

JMG Group was formed in 2020 after a management buyout of JM Glendinning.

Houghton said that reaching 40 investments “is a real milestone”.
