’The launch places us at the forefront of disrupting how insurance claims have historically been validated,’ says head
Charles Taylor Specialist Investigation Services has launched a forensic document analysis tool designed to identify artificial intelligence (AI)-generated fraudulent documents and manipulated images used in insurance claims.
Called Detect by Charles Taylor, the tool aims to address the increasing challenge of fraudsters using advanced AI to create convincing fake documents.
It works by automatically identifying AI-generated images and assessing document integrity by detecting any metadata alterations.
The tool has been created in partnership with FDS, a fraud prevention platform that can run more than 150 forensic checks across numerous file types within seconds.
Bobby Gracey, group head of counter fraud at Charles Taylor, said: “The launch of Detect, and our strategic partnership with FDS, places us at the forefront of disrupting how insurance claims have historically been validated via images and documents.
“Detect will be a game-changer for fraud identification and claims validation in straight-through decision-making models.”
Industry collaboration
As both a user and reseller of FDS’s technology, Charles Taylor aims to provide insurers with improved fraud detection and prevention propositions.

The integration of Detect with existing claims validation processes is expected to enhance efficiency by reducing the risk of fraudulent payouts.
Michael Slipsager, chief executive at DETECTsystem A/S, said: “We’re extremely excited about our continued partnership with Charles Taylor, a globally recognised leader in insurance.
”Their deep industry expertise and commitment to innovation make them an ideal customer and reseller of the FDS platform.
”This collaboration continues to strengthen our mission to be the go-to automated file forensics solution across the insurance industry. We look forward to continuing to drive meaningful impact together.”
