’We take great pride in understanding the industry challenges both brokers and customers face,’ says director of personal lines
Close Brothers Premium Finance (CBPF) has teamed up with The Green Insurer to offer financing solutions for more motorists, a statement released yesterday (10 January 2024) said.
The Green Insurer, which launched on 6 December 2023, offers eco-friendly, carbon-offset driven car insurance to UK drivers and rewards policyholders for sustainable driving habits.
Customers are able to purchase policies via its website or price comparison websites and all customer enquiries will be dealt with via staff in the UK.
Colin Wallace, director of personal lines for CBPF, said partnering with the firm ”will help bring their proposition to more customers”.
The firm has 2.4m customers in the UK and Ireland and a network of over 1,500 brokers.
“We take great pride in understanding the industry challenges both brokers and customers face and it’s clear that The Green Insurer is a truly forward-thinking broker,” Wallace added.
Greener driving
The Green Insurer also enables customers to track carbon offsets, rewards and journeys via an app on which they can also manage their policies.

Its launch came after a Viewsbank survey of 1,135 adults aged 18-plus – including 888 car owners – showed that 53% of drivers were becoming more aware of their impact on the environment in 2023 compared to the previous year.
Around 28% of respondents also said they planned to drive fewer miles in the next 12 months.
Paul Baxter, chief executive officer of The Green Insurer, said his firm “was looking forward to working closely with the CPBF team”.
“We are laser focused on giving customers a genuine option to buy green insurance easily, and this exclusive deal will help us meet that goal,” he added.
