The new hire will be responsible for the broker’s London market broking strategy
Professional indemnity and liability broker Brunel Professions has appointed Wesley Richards as its new divisional director of London markets.
Prior to joining Brunel, Richards - who has 25 years of London market experience - was a partner and led the financial lines broking team at Miller Insurance Services.
In his new role, Richards will be responsible for Brunel Professions’ London market broking strategy and insurer relationships, supporting the broker’s ambition for growth. He will report to the firm’s managing director Dylan Hughes.
Hughes said: “The professional indemnity sector has experienced a shift in capacity and a correction in rates across the entire market, which presents a wealth of opportunities for Brunel Professions.
”With this in mind, it gives me great pleasure to welcome Wesley to the team.”
Richards added: “I’m delighted to be joining Brunel Professions as the business looks to expand on its considerable success.
“With [its] ambition to be the pre-eminent professional indemnity broker and the backing of Aston Lark, [which continues] to invest heavily in specialist brokers, I could not have joined at a better time.”
Brunel Professions was acquired by Aston Lark in September 2020.
