Harbour Underwriting is keen to partner with engaged brokers
MGA Harbour Underwriting has teamed up with broker GS Group to offer law firms after the event (ATE) insurance solutions.
The partnership means GS Group can now offer Scottish law firms commercial dispute insurance.
Scottish law firms taking up the GS Group-brokered ATE insurance are set to benefit because they can offer insurance coverage to their own clients - such as businesses and individuals - currently in a legal dispute.
This aims to offer peace of mind and assurance to clients - who may be either a defendant fighting off a claim or a claimant bringing legal action - that legal costs will be paid by the ATE insurance.
Harbour Underwriting’s managing director Sharon Brown, who will be speaking at Insurance Times’ one-day BrokerFest 2021 event next Monday (11 October 2021), said she was keen to partner with brokers that are interested in providing full package solutions to their clients.
Harbour Underwriting is a London-based specialist MGA that launched a year ago with A-rated capacity from Hamilton Insurance DAC.
GS Group managing director George Stubbs added: ”This partnership with Harbour Underwriting comes at a perfect time for the Scottish legal market as we are seeing an increase in commercial disputes coincide with a sharp growth in litigation funding and ATE insurance in Scottish commercial litigation cases.
“We are now able to offer a best of breed ATE commercial insurance product through our alliance with Harbour Underwriting.
”It makes it easier than ever for Scottish lawyers to advise their clients about ATE insurance and to have cover put in place through a broker with expert knowledge of the product and exclusive access to a reputable insurer in Harbour Underwriting.”
