Insurance broker AbbeyAutoline has acquired the customer book of business belonging to Martin Carey Insurance.
Based Lisnaskea, Martin Carey is a family-owned broker that has expertise in home, motor, business and farm vehicle insurance.
AbbeyAutoline said acquiring the firm formed part of its strategy to expand its commercial insurance portfolio and further grow in Northern Ireland.

Integration
Martin Carey, managing director of the acquired firm, said that existing insurance policies and payment arrangements will remain unaffected throughout the integration process.

“The mortgage, life insurance and estate agency and valuation sections of the business will also continue to operate from our Lisnaskea Office at 87 Main Street,” he added.
“This exciting new chapter will allow our loyal customer base to benefit from AbbeyAutoline’s expanded range of personal and commercial insurance products, backed by the world’s leading insurers, alongside a commitment to deliver the same high-quality service they have come to expect for over 40 years.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
