’It has an excellent reputation for delivering great customer service,’ says commercial director
Broker Think Insurance Services has expanded its presence in the Midlands with the acquisition of Bromwich Insurance Bureau.
Bromwich, which also trades as easy4insurance.co.uk, was established in 1966 and provides policies to both commercial and personal customers in and around the Black Country area.
All of the existing Bromwich team will be retained and relocate to the Think offices in Walsall with immediate effect.
Russell Bence, commercial director at Think, said the acquisition will put his firm on track to write £33m in gross written premium (GWP) by the end of 2025.
“Bromwich have a great name in the local area, having served the Black Country for nearly 60 years,” he said.
“It has an excellent reputation for delivering great customer service and were the perfect fit for us – it writes very similar classes of business to Think and has a great team of experienced professionals.
Ken Nuttall, one of the outgoing owners of Bromwich, added: “The clients of Bromwich will benefit from the sale due to the size of Think and its position in the current market, leading to even more competitive premiums from a larger panel of insurers.
“In addition, the fact that Think were less than three miles from Bromwich’s Wednesbury office was a major positive for staff and clients alike and another key reason for selecting Think.
“We are obviously very sad to see the end of our participation in Bromwich, but are very happy with our choice of buyer in Think and we wish them every success going forward.”
Commercial deals
This is Think’s third commercial broker acquisition in as many years, with it having completed the purchase of Sovereign Insurance (Langley) Services in April 2022 and then Ashby Wray Insurance Brokers in October 2023.

Bence said the latest deal “adds further scale to the commercial part of our business”.
“With each acquisition, we’ve been able to take learnings from the previous ones to help us manage and integrate the next one,” he added.
“We are always looking to talk to other brokers looking to sell their businesses, especially if they are in or around the West Midlands area.”
