SEIB Insurance Brokers chief executive Suzy Middleton is among leaders to have joined the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as board members.
In her new role, Middleton will act as an engagement board member for personal finance.
She obtained her CII fellowship in 2010 and had been the president at the Insurance Institute of Chelmsford and south Essex.
Middleton became the deputy chief executive of SEIB in 2019 before becoming the top boss 2021.
“I am honoured to become a member of the CII board and look forward to contributing towards the promotion of excellence within our sector,” she said.
“I am deeply passionate about the work that we do and the value it holds for the public. I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow board members, as we leverage our collective expertise to advance the CII’s mission.”
Other appointments
Meanwhile, Ben Rose and Roger Jackson will join as engagement board members for London markets and financial planning.

Rose is president of Supercede, while Jackson has been a chartered financial planner for 17 years.

“Each of them brings a diverse range of skills and experience that will undoubtedly enrich the institute.
“I look forward to working with our new engagement board members as we continue in our mission to uphold standards, professionalism and trust within the insurance and financial planning professions.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
