The ’features are specifically designed to support the future preservation and enjoyment of these cars’, says partnerships director
Kingfisher Insurance’s classic vehicle broking brand Peter James has teamed up with car club 2CVGB to provide a new insurance scheme.
Formed in 1978, 2CVGB celebrates all historic Citroën A-Series cars in the UK and carries out work to preserve the future of them.
The new scheme will be tailored to members of the club and offers a range of features.
This includes free agreed value, free salvage retention, breakdown cover, tools and spare parts cover, legal expenses, cover for young enthusiasts and a self-repair option.
Dave Youngs, partnerships director at Peter James, said: “It’s been an incredibly exciting past few months working with 2CVGB to create a new club insurance scheme specifically designed for their members.
“These features are specifically designed to support the future preservation and enjoyment of these cars that, as we all know, are as brimming with personality as their owners are.”

The new cover, which was announced on 11 April 2024, has a range of features to support the future preservation of vintage, classic and modern examples of the Morgan line.
Calvin Bradley, secretary of 2CVGB, said his club also teamed up with the broker as it can offer members “unique benefits for their membership”.
“We are an active and sociable club and so this allows our members to enjoy their 2CVs with the peace of mind of knowing that their cars are protected thanks to 2CVGB insurance,” he added.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
