’Whilst many other brokers have chosen not to retain a presence in the Mersey region, preferring to service clients from elsewhere, that simply isn’t part of the style which has brought us success so far,’ says chief executive
Broadway Insurance Brokers has opened a new office in Liverpool to support its growing number of business and personal clients in the city.
The office, which is based in the Cotton Exchange building, will be run by a team of five staff led by managing partner Louisa Roberts.
Roberts was hired by the broker a year ago to help out with the growing volume of work from Merseyside and surrounding area.
She has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has worked at several Liverpool-based brokers, including Butterworth Spengler and Mason Owen.
In a post on Linkedin, Roberts said that she was “honoured” to be leading the Liverpool office.
She added: “My connection to the city and passion for insurance will drive us to grow.”
Client growth
This comes after Broadway reported in June 2024 that it saw growth of 45% in new clients, while the number of policies also increased by 51%.

It also generated £6m of gross written premiums (GWP) in the six months to the end of June.
Daniel Lloyd-John, chief executive at Broadway, said that supporting growth with a new office in Liverpool was a “milestone”.
He added: “Whilst many other brokers have chosen not to retain a presence in the Mersey region, preferring to service clients from elsewhere, that simply isn’t part of the style which has brought us success so far.
“Opening an office in Liverpool is, therefore, an entirely natural development. It is equally fitting that the team is led by Roberts, someone who knows both the city’s insurance industry and the local economy incredibly well.”
