The group will also be working with ALS Training to expand the initiative to its members in Wales
Bravo Networks has partnered with learning and development firm Raise the Bar to offer its England-based broker members the opportunity to take part in a fully funded apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship – Raise the Bar’s Level 3 Excelling in Team Leadership programme – is designed for managers with experience in leading a team or project, or aspiring managers who want to develop into a management role.
To make the opportunity possible, Bravo Networks will be using its apprenticeship levy.
Rachel Longbottom, head of service performance and innovation at Bravo Networks, said: “It’s important that we continue to push for apprenticeships and internal development opportunities within the insurance space, especially when it comes to attracting new and young talent to the industry.”
This push is essential because “it’s unlikely brokers will find someone who is new to insurance with all the qualifications they might want for a role, so it’s much more important to hire based on their attitude and personality [as] skills can [be] learnt”, she added.
UK outreach
As the programme is only for members based in England, Bravo Networks will be working with Welsh apprenticeship provider ALS Training to offer its Wales-based members the opportunity to take part in a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management – funded by the Welsh government.
Longbottom said: “The networks are delighted to share our apprenticeship levy with our members to support them in retaining talent, developing emerging talent and allowing their first-time managers to gain valuable insight into leading teams effectively.
“I am a huge advocate for people development, helping to identify people’s strengths and maximising their potential in the workplace.”
