Specialist insurance and reinsurance broker BMS has appointed Morna Leather as its new UK and international chief financial officer.
Leather’s new role will see her support BMS’ UK chief executive Ian Gormley and international boss Nick Gillett, a statement released yesterday (20 April 2023) said.
It added that the appointment will take effect from this summer.
Speaking about the move, Leather said: “I am greatly looking forward to supporting Ian, Nick and the wider team during this period of expansion.
“It is clear to me that BMS’ success is rooted not only in its insurance expertise, but also in its commitment to fostering a strong and positive company culture.
“I am excited to be able to bring my knowledge and experience to help in achieving continued success for BMS.”

Leather joined BMS from Ardonagh Global Partners, where she served as chief financial officer.

She also held senior roles at RFIB, including chief financial officer and head of corporate strategy.
Her new role will see her report to Nick Moss, group finance director of BMS.
Moss said Leather was an “exceptionally talented finance professional and brings a wealth of experience to BMS”.

“Her insight, strong interpersonal skills and deep understanding of the industry will assist us in maintaining the smooth running of our business.
