The acquisition is Bennett Christmas’s second since becoming an Ethos partner
Ethos-owned Bennett Christmas has bought Canterbury-based professional indemnity broker Sennet Insurance, it announced.
Started in 1995, Sennet now handles £1.3m in GWP and up to the current acquisition was owned and run by Robert Ward and David Kenyon-Vaughan, who will now leave the business.
Sennet is Bennett Christmas’s third acquisition, and the second under the Ethos umbrella, which it joined in August last year.
Its most recent acquisition was Warwickshire-based energy intermediary OMIS Insurance in June.
Bennett Christmas managing director Tom Stripp said he was “humbled that Robert and David have trusted us with the legacy of their business, and pleased that our team will continue the excellent client care that the Sennet brand is renowned for in the Canterbury area and beyond”.
”Sennet’s fantastic spread of business perfectly complements our current position and offers us fantastic growth opportunities.”
“As part of the Ethos Broking family we are able to work together with brokers who share our culture and our vision for the future, and I’m excited by the plans we have in the pipeline for the next 12 months”, Stripp added.
Sennet also runs schemes for accountants and health and safety consultants, as well as broking for a variety of professions.
