Beazley has promoted Sydonie Williams to the role of head of international cyber risks.
Williams takes on the role effective immediately and will report to Alessandro Lezzi, group head of cyber risks.
Williams joined Beazley in 2019 and most recently held the position of focus group leader, RoW, cyber risks.
Among her achievements at the insurer include helping develop its cyber catastrophe bond.
Lezzi said: “Williams has been a central member of the cyber team and integral to our Full Spectrum Cyber offering.
“Having worked closely with her for the past six years, I have seen her build an impressive market reputation as a leader in the cyber space.
“Her extensive experience across multiple geographies perfectly positions her to drive our strategy forward, expand our capabilities and support our brokers and clients in navigating the complexities of cyber risk.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
