’Being visible and responsive are strategic imperatives for us,’ says managing director
Aviva has revealed that it is opening a new trading office in Glasgow’s financial district.
The insurer said the new city centre office, which is based in St Vincent Street, will be a “larger and more central location for brokers”.
It can accommodate 26 employees and will serve as a base for Aviva’s mid-market, distribution, schemes and global, corporate and specialty teams.
It will also provide increased desk capacity over the insurer’s previous city centre trading offices and will allow regional trading and distribution teams to work from one office.
The office will be led by Maureen Edgar, branch manager, and Stephanie McCombe, regional broker development manager.
Dave Martin, managing director of commercial and chief distribution officer, said: “Being visible and responsive are strategic imperatives for us, so expanding our presence in Glasgow makes absolute sense and will enable us to have greater face-to-face interactions with our brokers, which we know they value.”
Expansion
Aviva’s expanded presence in Glasgow builds on the April opening of its offices in Southampton and Chelmsford.

Aviva also has offices in Maxim Park, just east of Glasgow, which will continue to serve brokers.
“Our new office in Glasgow is an exciting next step in our growth and will bring decision-making even closer to our Scottish brokers and customers,” Martin said.
