Protesters covered the buildings in blood-red paint
Aviva has said that Palestine Action’s latest protest against the insurer “has not impacted service to customers”.
During the early hours on 28 February 2025, Palestine Action targeted two of the insurer’s Scottish bases in Perth and Motherwell.
The group said that protesters covered the buildings in blood-red paint and broke windows. A video posted on X also shows protesters spraying the windows of Aviva’s Motherwell office.
An Aviva spokesperson said: “We had some disruption early Friday morning at our Perth and Motherwell offices.
“Our first priority is to ensure the safety of our people. This has not impacted our service to customers.”
Other protest
This is Palestine Action’s second protest against the insurer, with it having occupied Aviva’s Bristol headquarters last month.

In a statement, Palestine Action said it had “shut down Aviva” during its protest, which also saw messages spray painted on the front of the glass building.
Both protests were against Elbit Systems, with Palestine Action claiming that Aviva provides employers liability insurance for UAV Engines in Staffordshire, a drone engine factory owned by Elbit Systems.
“Palestine Action will continue to target all those who facilitate the operations of Israel’s biggest weapons firm, Elbit Systems, until they cease ties,” a Palestine Action spokesperson said.
