The new appointee said he is ’feeling super excited and honoured to be taking on this next role at such an amazing business’

Aviva has promoted Craig Fazzini-Jones to the role of group chief operating officer.

He will be responsible for corporate services and property across the group and, according to the insurer, will aid its ”transformation delivery”.

Fazzini-Jones will report to Amanda Blanc, group chief executive at Aviva, and become a member of Aviva’s group executive committee.

Blanc said: “I am confident Fazzini-Jones will bring energy and passion to this important role which supports the acceleration of Aviva’s performance.”

Experience

Fazzini-Jones joined the insurer in 2021 as its chief operating officer for insurance, wealth and retirement.

He took on the additional responsibility of non-executive director for Aviva life and pensions in Ireland in 2024.

Prior to joining the insurer, he held the role of chief operating officer at Canada Life UK in 2018.

In a LinkedIn post on 11 February 2025 announcing his new role, Fazzini-Jones said he was “feeling super excited and honoured to be taking on this next role at such an amazing business”.
