’He will fit our culture extremely well and is someone I trust to look after our key clients and partners,’ says chief executive
Aventum-owned Rokstone has appointed Rob Winsley as its new capacity manager and broker relationship director.
Winsley, who joins from Howden, will work closely with brokers and have oversight of distribution across the MGA’s lines of business.
He will also help the firm expand its appetite and develop multiyear capacity deals.
Rokstone said appointing Winsley reflected its “accelerated growth over the last few years and its desire to double down on service”.
James Potter, chairman at Rokstone, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Winsley to the team. We know him well and know that he aligns perfectly with our vision for the future.
”We’ve now reached the size that Rokstone requires dedicated resource of this type across all lines and the territories we operate in globally and fully expect in time to grow the function with additional support in the UK and the US.
“We remain committed to investing in service so that Rokstone will always blaze a trail for making insurance better on its path to the top.”
Experience
Winsley has worked at Howden Re for the last 10 years. He joined in 2014 as a junior broker and went onto hold a range of senior roles, including associate director and divisional director.

He will join Rokstone following the completion of his notice period.
Ian Anson, chief executive at Rokstone, said: “Coinciding with the recent management changes at Rokstone, we recognised the need for additional and dedicated resource to help manage and develop our key partnerships – ensuring we always remain ahead of the curve on service.
“Winsley will fit our culture extremely well and is someone I trust to look after our key clients and partners, whilst bringing a fresh perspective and ideas for future development.
“I see this as a key hire that I expect to produce significant value.”
