Two senior leadership changes have been made
Aventum-owned MGA Rokstone has announced a range of senior leadership changes.
Ian Anson, former managing director, will take on the role of global chief executive, while James Potter, the incumbent chief executive, has been promoted to chairman.
As well as taking up the role of chairman, Potter will continue to serve as Aventum’s deputy chief executive.
Rokstone explained that he will remain engaged with the MGA and pursue new business opportunities.
Before joining Aventum and Rokstone, Potter served as an underwriter at both Allianz Global Coporate and Specialty, as well as RSA.
Second promotion
Meanwhile, Anson joined Rokstone in 2020 as a portfolio manager and took up his most recent position as managing director in 2021.

Under Potter, he was responsible for driving organic growth through the launch of multiple new lines and multiyear cross-class capacity deals, new territories and distribution strategies.
Before joining, he spent six years at Alesco Risk Management Services. At Alesco, he was initially an onshore energy broker, before being promoted to associate partner in 2017.
Potter said: “When he first joined us a few years back, we knew then that we had someone special and he hasn’t disappointed.
“Together with the rest of the team, Anson has led the charge, delivering strong growth and demonstrating outstanding leadership.
“I’m delighted to announce his promotion. It is thoroughly well deserved and I’m hugely excited as we begin a new year and embark on the next phase of growth for Rokstone.”
