’[We] look forward to working closely together to provide the best marine insurance solutions,’ says head of marine practice
Howden-owned business Aston Lark has acquired Plymouth-based insurance broker Curtis Marine, a statement released today (29 August 2023) revealed.
Curtis Marine provides marine insurance solutions to the south west region and organises cover for a range of vessels and marine-focused businesses.
The acquisition will see the firm join Howden’s marine practice, trading under the Haven Knox-Johnston brand.
Haven Knox-Johnston is a trading name of Aston Lark and provides marine insurance products across the UK.
Speaking about the deal, Steve Hook, head of marine practice at Aston Lark, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the entire Curtis Marine team to the Howden Marine Practice.
“[We] look forward to working closely together to provide the best marine insurance solutions to the marine industry and boatowners in Plymouth and the local area.”
‘New chapter’
Aston Lark added that having a local team in Plymouth would develop Haven Knox-Johnston’s national presence.
