’We’re really excited about the opportunities it brings for current employees and new talent,’ says UK chief executive
Aston Lark has expanded its regional presence with a new office in Reading.
In a statement released yesterday (28 June 2023), the insurance broker said the new office would provide more in-person support for clients.
It will initially be staffed by a team of four, led by Thames Valley, Farnborough and Alton regional director Alistair Matthews.
The firm said there would be opportunities for “ambitious and experienced insurance professionals in the area to join them in the coming months and years”.
“It’s not only an important touch point for our current and future clients in the area, but further emphasises the breadth of opportunity here at Aston Lark and Howden,” Matthews said.
Opportunities
This came after insurance broking group Howden agreed to buy Aston Lark from Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Bowmark Capital in 2021.

Since then, Aston Lark has been expanding regionally and earlier this year opened a Norwich and South Wales office.
The new Reading office, which is based in Winnersh Triangle, features a futuristic glass design and modern facilities.
Warren Dickson, chief executive of Aston Lark UK, said: “One of the benefits of Aston Lark becoming part of Howden is the extent to which it’s enabled us to realise our growth ambitions, not only through acquisition, but also opening new offices in key regions across the UK.
“We’re really excited about the opportunities it brings for current employees, and new talent, to take their career where they want it to go.”
