Police say that enquiries are still ongoing
Two people were arrested after Palestine Action targeted Aviva’s Bristol headquarters.
The group targeted the insurer’s office in the Stoke Gifford area earlier this week (22 January 2025), with pictures showing messages spray painted on the front of the glass building.
Avon and Somerset Police said it received a report of paint being thrown over a member of the public, as well as the building, and that someone was seen on a roof.
As a result, emergency services were called out to the Brierly Furlong office at 7.45am.
“A 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage,” a force spokesperson said.
On Wednesday, Aviva said it would not comment on site security matters, “but we can confirm that our Bristol site is open”.
“Colleague safety is paramount and we are actively communicating with our people to ensure their wellbeing,” the insurer continued.
Police added that enquiries were ongoing following the protest.
