’We are delighted to be acquiring a fantastic business,’ says chief executive
Ardonagh Advisory has acquired BP Insurance Brokers (BPIB) as it looks to bolster its expertise in the specialist personal lines area.
Founded in 1958 in Blackpool, BPIB provides both commercial and advised personal lines and has branches in Fylde Coast, Cleveleys, Lancaster and St Annes.
Ardonagh Advisory, which is Ardonagh Group’s SME broking platform, said the deal would expand its presence in the North and bring a range of personal lines expertise.
Richard Tuplin, chief executive of Advisory Insurance Broking, said: “We are delighted to be acquiring a fantastic business, expanding our Northern powerhouse in regional broking, as well as driving forward our national proposition through added expertise in the specialist personal lines arena.”
Managing director
As part of the deal, BPIB managing director Barry Pimlott will continue to lead his team of 44 staff.
