’Our new regional structure demonstrates our commitment to evolving alongside our broker partners,’ says managing director

Arch Insurance has promoted four senior members to new regional manager roles across the UK.

Ian Grundy, Janice Mullan, Tony O’Reilly and Janine Starkie will take responsibility for the Midlands and south west, south and Thames Valley, London and the Home Counties, as well as the north and Scotland, respectively.

Their priorities will be to deliver the growth objectives for their respective region and facilitate greater country-wide branch collaboration.

They will also focus on delivering more comprehensive propositions and services, aligned to broking partners’ placement strategies.

The new appointees will report to Mike Bottle, managing director of Arch Insurance’s UK regional division.

“Our new regional structure demonstrates our commitment to evolving alongside our broker partners,” Bottle said.

“By aligning our structure with our brokers’ evolving business models, we’re able to enhance our service proposition, better address their needs and still maintain the local relationships key to our success.”

Experience

The four appointees bring decades of UK insurance market experience to their positions.

Grundy joined Arch in 2022, having previously been a strategic relationship manager at Axa UK, while Mullan joined in 2019 from Arista Insurance, where she was a broker development manager.

O’Reilly also joined the firm in 2019. He previously worked at Fusion/Arista, where he was branch manager for London and St Albans.

Meanwhile, Starkie joined in 2023, having previously been a sales manager at Axa UK.

As well as taking on their new roles, they will each maintain their current branch management responsibilities for Birmingham, Southampton, St Albans and Manchester, respectively.

Bottle said: “Grundy, Mullan, O’Reilly and Starkie each have proven track records of leadership and delivering high quality broker service and will now spearhead our strategy across our nine branches.”
