The move is part of its strategy to become a “significant player in the provision of commercial lines e-trading access for brokers,” says statement
Applied Systems Europe has partnered with a trio of insurers as it looks to expand its commercial lines e-trading presence for brokers.
A statement released today (9 May 2023) said Applied had secured Arch Insurance, Ark Insurance and Iprism Underwriting for its commercial lines insurance panel.
The move will see UK brokers using Applied’s cloud-based management system be able to quote and bind directly with the three companies later in 2023.
“The continuing expansion of the panel is part of Applied Systems strategy to become a significant player in the provision of commercial lines e-trading access for brokers this year, building on its leading position in the personal lines market,” a statement added.
‘Exciting times’
The three insurers will join existing providers Allianz, Axa, NIG, QBE and RSA.

Applied said the move will add more schemes to its property owners, tradesman and commercial lines products.
And it revealed that more insurers and managing general agents were set to join the panel later this year.
Tom Needs, chief executive of Applied Systems Europe, said: “These are exciting times at Applied Systems as we press ahead with our plans to provide brokers looking to trade online with commercial insurers a real, modern technology driven alternative.
“Our cloud-based broker management system, Epic, not only offers brokers access to the wider commercial and personal lines market, but enables them to expand and digitise their businesses through enhanced functionality and the ability to plug into a host of modern applications through our API-friendly system.”
