’We are in a great place to further unlock the collective potential of our capabilities to create value for our clients,’ says chief executive
Aon has appointed Jane Kielty as its new UK chief executive, a statement released today (9 January 2024) revealed.
Kielty joined the broking giant in 2005 as a client management director and held several senior roles at the firm before becoming its first UK chief commercial officer in 2021.
Most recently, she held the role of head of commercial risks for the UK.
In her new role as top boss, she will spearhead Aon’s growth plans across the UK and become part of the EMEA leadership team.
She will also report to Julie Page, chief executive of EMEA.
“Jane’s track record of strong leadership over many years at Aon makes her ideally positioned to lead the UK as we go further and faster on accelerating our Aon united strategy,” Page said.
’Great place’
Kielty began her career with Marsh in 1999 as a graduate trainee and went onto to hold several senior roles with the broker, such as the north west sales leader.

She has also served as deputy chair of Biba and chair of the Insurance Broking Standards Committee since last year, where she has represented Aon and its clients’ interests on several matters.
Kielty has taken on her new role after the 2023 Insurance Times Top 50 Brokers report revealed that Aon grew its ebitda by 43% in 2022 and reached a total figure of £396.1m – up from £277.8m the year before.
This ebitda improvement was the biggest of the top six brokers in this report and saw Aon net an ebitda margin figure of 36%.
“We are in a great place to further unlock the collective potential of our capabilities to create value for our clients and I have no doubt that in this role, Jane will help our UK business continue to thrive,” Page said.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
