The new hire, who has 30 years of industry experience, will take up his position on 27 July
Professional services firm Aon has appointed Andrew Tunnicliffe as the new UK chairman of its global and specialty division, which is part of its commercial risk solutions, health solutions and affinity business.
Tunnicliffe, who has more than 30 years of experience in insurance and risk management, will commence his new role from 27 July.
Tunnicliffe is no stranger to Aon – he has held numerous roles at the firm in the past including UK chief executive of commercial risk solutions, health solutions and affinity, chief operating officer for commercial risk solutions, health solutions and affinity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and chief executive of Aon Global Risk Consulting.
Julie Page, chief executive at Aon UK, said: “I’m delighted that Andrew has decided to return to Aon. His primary focus will be on the strategic development of client relationships and client risk programmes, in addition to providing active chairmanship of the Client Partner Group.”
Michelle Mason, managing director of global and specialty, added: “We’re looking forward to having Andrew join the global and specialty team; I know both our clients and colleagues will benefit hugely from his experience and expertise.”
Tunnicliffe said he is “excited” to re-join his old firm and work alongside “many talented colleagues, some of whom I know very well”.
He continued: “I’m looking forward to delivering Aon United solutions to help clients solve their complex business challenges, drawing on Aon’s wide range of capabilities and innovative thinking.”
