’This is a great decision for us and our customers,’ says managing director
Add-on insurance provider Alps has moved its motor book to AmTrust International under a full delegated authority agreement.
The book includes standard motor protection, motor legal expenses and the Alps Complete product including vehicle hire.
Ian Micklewright, managing director at Alps, said the move was “a great decision for us and our customers, ensuring we deliver an even higher level of service thanks to the complete control we have over the end-to-end policyholder journey”.
“It also demonstrates the strength of our proposition,” he said.
”AmTrust operates to the most robust levels of due diligence and its support of our business demonstrates that we too operate at the highest levels of operational best practice.”

Alps will have a direct binder with Amtrust under the motor book agreement and will keep control of all claims via its group law firm Alps Legal.
“We are delighted to support Alps with a wider product suite, including motor legal expenses and replacement vehicle,” said Bruce Whitmee, chief executive at AmTrust Europe.
”This strengthens our existing relationship, as we have previously backed their roadside assistance and excess products.”
