’The establishment of a dedicated distribution team for inspection and consultancy services reflects our dedication to driving growth and enhancing service delivery,’ says head
Allianz has announced plans to introduce a new distribution team for inspection and consultancy services.
The new team forms part of the insurer’s plans to grow its engineering workforce to over 800 in the next four years.
It will become part of Allianz Engineering Inspection Services (AEIS) and sit alongside existing inspection teams under chief claims officer Graham Gibson.
The new team will oversee a range of specialist functions and ”play a crucial role in assisting brokers in identifying new opportunities and effectively articulating Allianz’s unique selling propositions when exploring alternative providers”, the insurer said.
Jonathan Oldfield will lead the whole team in the newly-created role of head of distribution and trading and engineering inspection and report directly into Gibson.
”The establishment of a dedicated distribution team for inspection and consultancy services reflects our dedication to driving growth and enhancing service delivery in the engineering inspection business,” Oldfield said.
Other appointments
Allianz said the direct inspection team will be led by Chris Williams, while the customer relationship management team will be led by Simon Cuthbert.

The insurer is also set to appoint a UK operations manager to oversee and enhance service delivery to brokers from the inspection underwriting team.
“Allianz’s focus on growth and service excellence is underpinned by our commitment to delivering market-leading inspection services and expanding our consultancy offerings to better serve our customers,” Oldfield said.
