The move is set to become effective from 1 July 2025
Allianz Trade has appointed Matt Williams as its new chief executive for the UK and Ireland.
Williams succeeds Sarah Murrow, who will become the top boss for Allianz Trade in the Americas.
Williams joined Allianz Trade in 2004, beginning his career as a credit analyst, before being promoted to regional risk manager for the UK and Ireland in 2009.
In 2020, he became risk director for Benelux, based in Belgium, before moving to Paris in 2021 to assume the position of credit director for Allianz Trade for multinationals.
Williams is currently the regional credit director for Allianz Trade in Northern Europe (NEUR), with him taking up the role in 2024.
Murrow
The appointee is set to take up his new role on 1 July 2025, when Murrow will become chief executive of Allianz Trade in the Americas.

She first joined Allianz Trade in North America in 2004 and held client service, commercial underwriting and strategic account manager positions.
From 2017 to 2021, she served as regional head of market management, commercial underwriting and distribution for Allianz Trade in Northern Europe, before moving to her current chief executive position at Allianz Trade in the UK and Ireland in 2021.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
