The appointee joins from Allianz SE, where she worked as group risk chief officer
Allianz Trade has today (20 October 2022) appointed Aylin Somersan Coqui to the position of chief executive and chairperson of the board of management for the firm.
The trade credit insurer has appointed Coqui following the departure of Clarisse Kopff, who has decided to pursue a new leadership role outside of Allianz as of 30 November 2022.
Most recently, Coqui worked as group risk chief officer at Allianz SE, a role she had been in since 2020.
Coqui began her career as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley in 1998 before joining Allianz Group in 2002.
She previously worked as chief financial officer for Allianz Turkey between 2013 and 2015 before being promoted to chief executive, where she remained until 2018 before joining Allianz SE in 2019 as chief human resources officer.
Continued momentum
Chris Townsend, a member of the board of management at Allianz SE, said: “We’d like to thank Clarisse for the excellent work she did for Allianz Trade and to wish her will in this new chapter of her career.

“We wish Aylin all the best in her new role and are convinced that given her extensive background in both asset management and insurance as well as her technical expertise in risk, she is in an excellent position to oversee the continued momentum of Allianz Trade.”
