Roles being eyed up for the move include those that have been affected by natural attrition
Allianz has revealed that it is planning to replace some Bournemouth-based LV= General Insurance jobs in India.
Roles being eyed up for the move include those that have been affected by natural attrition, but there are no planned redundancies.
It comes ahead of LV= General Insurance moving its Bournemouth office from Frizzell House to nearby Stour House in Deansleigh Road at the end of this year.
A spokesperson for Allianz, which owns LV= General Insurance, told Insurance Times that the insurer was “heavily focused on growing in the UK” and was ”investing in people and [the] new Bournemouth office”.
They added: “We are always looking for ways to develop our high levels of customer satisfaction.
“For a number of roles where we lose UK staff to natural attrition, such as when they retire or change jobs, we now plan to replace some of these roles in our Allianz centre in India, who we’ve worked closely with for almost two decades. There are no planned redundancies.”
Office move
When plans to move the Bournemouth office were announced in 2023, LV= General Insurance said the size and layout of the new space, which is located just off the A3060 Castle Lane East, would suit its flexible ways of working and offered space for the long-term.

Keith Misson, transformation director at LV= General Insurance, added: “When looking for a new office, we wanted a space that could support our aspiration to have a more sustainable working environment and an office that suited the hybrid way of working, offering our people plenty of space to collaborate and make the most of days together.
“Our new office in Stour House provides us with all of this and more and we’re looking forward to moving there at the end of 2024.”
LV= General Insurance, owned by Allianz, is a separate entity to LV=, which offers life and pensions products and services.
