’Allianz will be taking direct legal action to address these threats,’ says spokesperson
Allianz has said it will take direct legal action against Palestine Action following a protest at one of its Manchester offices.
Today (17 March 2025), protesters left Allianz Trade’s office in Manchester city centre covered in red paint, while messages were spray painted on the building as well.
This is the second time the insurer has been targeted in the last week, with protesters scaling the canopy above the entrance to Allianz’s office in Gracechurch Street, London, on 10 March 2025.
Allianz said it would take legal action last week and, following today’s protest, said again that it will be taking “direct legal action to address these threats”.
An Allianz Trade spokesperson said: “We respect everyone’s right to have and express their opinion. However, we will not give in to threats and criminal behaviour that endanger the safety or security of our people, business and property.
“Our business operations and service to customers and partners have not been affected by these attacks. We are working closely with the police and Allianz will also be taking direct legal action to address these threats.”

Protesters began occupying the entrance of the office in the The Observatory, Chapel Walks, at 7am on 11 March 2025.
Some also climbed on top of the revolving doors, stuck Palestinian flags on the wall and let off red flares.
A spokesperson for the insurer said: “We have had some disruption at our Manchester office this morning.
“Our first priority is to ensure the safety of our people. We will not tolerate any criminal behaviour towards our people or property and will take appropriate legal action.”
