Regional appointments have been made in the UK, Australia, France and Germany
Allianz Group has made several changes to its property and casualty commercial c-suite in the UK, Australia, France and Germany.
In each country, the newly appointed regional leads will work to bring Allianz’s full set of solutions for specialty clients, large corporate and mid-sized companies to the market.
The team aims to simplify and enhance both client and distribution partners’ experience of the group’s mid corporate and large corporate insurance business.
In the UK, Allianz’s commercial business will be led by Nadia Côté as managing director.
Côté joined the group in 2022 as Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty’s (AGCS) managing director, after spending around 12 years at insurance company Chubb.
She will report to Allianz Holdings UK chief executive Colm Holmes and AGCS chief executive Joachim Mueller.
‘Effective local delivery’
Meanwhile, the firm has appointed Phuong Ly as chief general manager of Allianz Commercial in Australia, while Patrick Thiels and Frédéric Baccelli will head up the business in France.

And in Germany, Allianz’s commercial business will be led by Hans-Joerg Mauthe as managing director.
The appointment of additional Allianz commercial regional leaders in other markets around the world will follow in due course.
Chris Townsend, member of the Allianz SE board of management, highlighted that the appointments represented an “important, concrete step toward realising our new integrated model”.
“As one face to the market, these leaders will represent the full Allianz offering to companies across the entire commercial spectrum and will drive the effective local delivery of our global capabilities,” he added.
