’His appointment is an important step forward as we look to move to the next level in our development,’ says managing director

Acres Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of Joel Vincent as area lead for Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

Vincent joined the broker in February 2025 and brings with him nearly two decades of experience in farm, estate and commercial insurance.

Based in Lincolnshire, his remit will span as far north as York and as far south as the borders of Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

He said that he was aiming to support the wider rural economy – including machinery dealerships, property developers and rural suppliers – as well as the broker’s traditional agricultural clients.

Vincent added: “I am really pleased to join Acres at this time of development and growth, fitting perfectly in lock-step with my goals to expand my offering to a new and existing client base.

“While I share the strong agricultural background with the team here at Acres, we are certainly not restricted by this.

”It is important that we provide specialist services and advice for associated trades in the commercial environment.”

Experience

Vincent began his career in banking with Lloyds TSB before switching to insurance at the age of 25.

Since then, he has built a portfolio of more than 400 farming and estate clients, underpinned by his own agricultural background.

Acres managing director Mark Cooper said Vincent’s arrival would play a role in scaling the business.

He added: ”His appointment is an important step forward as we look to move to the next level in our development.

”He brings with him a wealth of insurance experience and pedigree, both within the agricultural sector and across those related commercial enterprises we see as crucial not only to our own development, but to that of the wider rural economy.”
