’There is so much we can do to reduce the environmental impact of vehicle repairs,’ says claims director
Insurer Ageas has launched a new workshop in a bid to help solution centres consider the impact of vehicle repairs.
The new initiative has been designed to help centres explore opportunities that will help them repair cars more sustainably.
The first workshop saw 40 attendees, all of which were told about number plate recycling, repair over replace training and the use of green parts.
“Our repair network has been using green parts in vehicle repairs for some time now and we are proud of the strides we have made to make them an integral part of the motor repair process,” Stephen Linklater, claims director at Ageas, said.
“Nevertheless, there is so much we can do to reduce the environmental impact of vehicle repairs and so this workshop was designed to prompt us all to consider what more can be done to reduce the impact of vehicle repairs.
“We will be making these workshops a regular feature so we can keep challenging ourselves and our network.”
