Validus fires up web tool
Credit consultancy Validus-IVC has launched an online tool that allows clients to monitor the real-time progress of credit hire and repair claims on its system. Its clients can search Principal Dashboard using their reference numbers or policyholders’ names and receive an instant update.
James Duez, chief technology officer at Validus, said: “Principal Dashboard is the first of its kind in the credit hire industry and will be immensely useful to client claims managers.”
OurNetwork forms panel
OurNetwork has set up a broker advisory panel of senior brokers. The panel’s members are: Stephen Brennan of Stephen Brennan Insurance Brokers; Robin Young of One Risk; Robin Foster-Taylor of Primo; Peter Faulkner of Focus; John Radford of One Call Insurance Services; David Crompton of Mercer-Jones; and Barry Fehler of South Essex Insurance Brokers.
Marlborough bought
Flagstone Re has agreed to acquire Marlborough Underwriting Agency, the managing agency for Syndicate 1861, from Berkshire Hathaway Group. The syndicate writes a specialist portfolio of short-tail insurance and reinsurance.
Two directors join Allianz
Allianz Retail has appointed Adrian Mitri as director of operations and Tom Moss as director of underwriting. The insurer said both roles would support Allianz Retail’s strategic goal of achieving £1bn gross written premium by 2013.
Lockton hires O’Keeffe
Richard O’Keeffe has joined Lockton as a property broker working across retail and global risks. O’Keeffe has 20 years’ experience, the last seven of which were as head of UK major retail account property placement at Willis. He will work closely with Garry Taylor in Global Risks and support the UK retail operations and major accounts headed by Chris Brown.
