Kiln bid talks confirmed
Kiln, the Lloyd's insurer, has confirmed it was in talks regarding a possible offer from an unnamed bidder. Analysts said an American or Bermuda insurer was the most likely suitor.
Fortis underwriting chief
Fortis Insurance has appointed Adam Clarke as director of underwriting. Clarke replaces Paul Chaplain who resigned last month. He joins Fortis from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was the commercial director of home, pet and travel
