Hiscox pioneers the comparison tool, helping consumers compare policies on quality
Defaqto has developed a website comparison tool that enables product features of competitive products to be compared against each other. Hiscox has placed the tool on its website.
Known as Defaqto Compare!, the comparison tool works by comparing a defined range of features across the whole range of competitive products.
The system is powered by Defaqto's database of insurance products and concentrates exclusively on features, rather than price, as the principal means by which competitive products are evaluated.
Kevin Kerridge, Head of Hiscox Direct said, “The insurance industry has been slow in keeping pace with people's rapidly changing lifestyles. Many people have much greater disposable income for spending on personal possessions and are traveling to more exotic locations for work and pleasure. Which all means that it is vital that consumers understand fully the insurance product they are buying and the extent of the cover it offers.
