Loss adjuster MYI has broken into the Indian market, the company’s president and chief executive officer Vern Chalfant has revealed.
In an interview with Insurance Times, the company’s worldwide head said it had formed a joint venture with Mumbai-based Lloyd’s agency Wilson’s Surveyors.
“India’s a brand new territory for us,” said Chalfant, who added that under Indian law the firm needed to enter into a tie-up with a local company to operate in the world’s second most populous country.
