Following a review, MS Amlin to cut expenses, putting a number of UK jobs at risk
MS Amlin is to cut costs in the UK through headcount and other people related costs.
This will put a reported 140 permanent UK roles at risk.
MS Amlin cites heavy losses due to a difficult 2017 as the reason for the cuts in spending.
The company employs around 1,350 people in the UK, which equates the cuts to a reported 10%.
MS Amlin declined to confirm the figure, but have released a statement.
A spokesman for the company said: “MS Amlin is progressing a number of ongoing projects aimed at repositioning the business for a sustainable and profitable long-term future, amidst the continuing challenging market conditions.
“As part of this, following a thorough review and after careful consideration, the Executive Committee has taken the difficult decision to reduce expenses through headcount and other people related costs. As a result, a number of roles will be impacted.”
