Senior underwriter will focus on northern regions.
Commercial lines underwriting operation Arista Insurance has appointed Jim Morrison as a senior underwriter to provide technical expertise to its Northern based brokers.
Reporting to regional manager Paul Dooley, Morrison will be responsible for handling all commercial classes for brokers in the North West and North East regions. Based in Arista’s Manchester office, he will bring the total northern based team to nine.
Commenting on the appointment, Dooley said: “We have seen remarkable support from the local market. Jim’s appointment is further proof of our commitment to this region and to the brokers that benefit from our fresh approach. It is this partnership based approach that dictates we expand the team in parallel with the growth in business to enable our brokers to continue to enjoy personal service from local experts.”
Morrison, who is FCII qualified, has 28 years experience in the insurance industry. He was previously employed in senior underwriting roles by insurers including Eagle Star, NU and NIG.
Dooley added: “Jim’s immense experience and knowledge base will be a huge asset to the team and our brokers. Our key aim is to help brokers improve their bottom line and we do this by putting at their disposal the very best people who can offer the finest advice and technical support.”
Arista currently serves over 200 brokers from its network of regional offices in London, Bristol, Southampton, Redhill and Manchester.
