Morley has hired David Skinner for the newly created position head of property research following expansion in continental Europe and Asia.
Skinner will report to Morley's Nick Mansley, director of property strategy and indirect investment.
The appointment follows recent hires to Morley's property team including Ian Gleeson from his role as head of property at the National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) of Ireland.
It also follows the news last week that Morley is to invest up to £5bn in Asia over the next four years.
Skinner joins from Pramerica where he was director of research, Europe.
At Morley, Skinner will lead Morley's property research capability taking a role in business development and investment decision-making across Morley's property funds.
Mansley commented: "We have always been committed to integrating market-leading research with fund manager views to make our investment decisions. Research has been a key driver of the success of our fund strategies over the past 10 years. David has an excellent track record in research and is the ideal person to take responsibility for ensuring our research continues to be at the leading edge to the benefit of our clients. He joins at an exciting time for our business as we continue to expand rapidly in Europe and Asia."
