More Th>n hires head of e-business

RSA's direct arm More Th>n has appointed Ian Hood as head of e-business.

Hood will report to More Th>n marketing director, Pete Markey.

Hood joins from Swiftcover.com where he was Head of e-commerce. Prior to this, Hood worked at RBS Insurance as senior manager of e-commerce. He has a background of underwriting and has held a number of roles, including with at Direct Line.

Pete Markey said: "Ian has a fantastic track record in developing transactions on insurance websites, and will bring with him a wealth of experience that will enable him to build upon MORE TH>N's platform and take the brand online to new heights.

"We are really excited by the arrival of Ian, his knowledge and expertise will no doubt be highly beneficial as we continue to improve service quality and efficiency of our online services."
