Groupama has poached a key account management team from MMA.
Paul Cavanagh, Paul Cousans and Simon Hurt were working at MMA as business developers. In their new roles at Groupama, they will be based in Basingstoke, Rotherham and Sheffield respectively, with Hurt focusing on broker networks and his colleagues on key intermediaries in their region.
Cathie Bruce, Groupama distribution and customer service director, said: “By increasing our key account management team we have made ourselves more accessible to our customers, giving us greater opportunities to build strong, local partnerships with brokers and intermediaries that need a more personalised service and particularly close contact with Groupama. Our distribution approach is very focused on the specific needs of our partners and this latest move is further evidence of our firm intent to both listen and act to satisfy their requirements.”
“The distribution environment is changing with the impact of broker consolidation and the growing influence of networks. These larger organisations have a significant level of control over high quality provincial business and require regular, personal service with face to face interaction.
“The appointments have been made specifically to ensure that we have the necessary development support in place to maximise business potential. We have always responded quickly to changing market dynamics and this latest move demonstrates our commitment. Each of these new recruits brings considerable regional knowledge and expertise to Groupama coupled with the respect of their local broking community.”
