Insurer takes the lead in offering full cycle EDI household schemes via insurecom

Intermediary-only insurer MMA Insurance claimed it was the first insurer to offer full cycle EDI household schemes via Insurecom.

MMA has launched its two personal lines household products – MMA Home, a sum insured cover and MMA Profile, a bedroom rated product.

The company recently re-launched both products with wider cover and two additional optional extensions: MMA Home Emergency, which provides emergency assistance in domestic incidents such as plumbing and roofing problems; and MMA Pestshield, which covers the removal of rats, mice, moths and wasps.

Martin Scarrett, Household Underwriting Manager said: "Our property-led business is an important part of MMA’s strategy. We are delighted to be the first insurer to offer full cycle EDI household through Insurecom.

"Using such platforms is directly aligned with our focus on making it easier for intermediaries to do business with us."

MMA plans to offer MMA Lifestyle, its mid net worth household product, via the platform later this year.
