Dan Andrews to work on strengthening relationship with key UK intermediaries.
Intermediary-only insurer, MMA Insurance plc has announced the appointment of Dan Andrews to head of business development.
Andrews will have full responsibility for managing the company’s business development function, working with a wide cross-section of intermediaries across the UK.
His role will focus on developing and strengthening MMA’s key intermediary relationships. This includes enhancing the company’s product and service propositions for regional brokers, networks and major accounts.
Andrews, who is promoted from his existing role as key account manager, will spearhead the strategic development of MMA's Commercial Lines business. MMA has already achieved growth of 30% in the last five years.
Derek Plummer, commercial director of MMA, said: “Dan demonstrates MMA's commitment to developing its people. He has already proved to be a real asset to us so we are delighted that he will now be using his extensive market knowledge and practical experience of working in MMA to help develop and strengthen our commercial lines business and to ensure we retain our strong personal lines positioning.”
Andrews has worked for MMA for over six years. Prior to his role as a key account manager he was one of the company's underwriting managers.
MMA has made a number of senior appointments this year as part of its commercial lines strategy including John Seaton who joined as underwriting director from Aviva and Steve Ormrod as bespoke trading manager.
