The Claims People's pre-tax profit fell to £51,941 in 2005 from £278,163 the previous year.
The loss adjuster's turnover increased from £2,665,677 to £2,714,937 and its consultancy income was up from £49,096 to £358,749.
The Claims People's chairman, John French, said the results “demonstrate the group's resilience in adverse trading conditions”.
French added: “The mild weather depressed claims volumes which have traditionally been significantly dependent on weather related losses.”
However, French was pleased with the increase in consultancy income and the progress of the company's partnership with Capita to provide liability adjusting services.
